This colorful guy was inspired by the ornate rock lobster. He was my entry to the Special Makeup Effects competition at the 2018 World Bodypainting Festival in Klagenfurt Austria.
Prosthetics are made of foam latex with dyed and felted wool accents. There are 7 prosthetics in all.

For the short film ‘It Came From the Sea’ directed by Adam Lapine, I created silicone prosthetic fins, gills and ear pieces as well as body painting. This challenging opportunity to create a makeup to be filmed underwater was a great experience!

This is a little sample of hairlaying with different styles. One goatee, 5 looks.
I love combining my love of wool with my prosthetic work. I use it in nearly every piece I make to add texture and help to make the piece seem more realistic. This little kitty was created for my daughter and she played her purrfectly!
